Business in Korea – Why do it?

After the civil war, the South Korean economy grew significantly and the country has transformed into a major economy, a full democracy, and a regional power in East Asia. Its successful transition has ensured its placing in the top 15 global economies where it has remained for the past few years.

More recently, South Korea has been awarded the eighth ranking out of the global economies in the ‘Ease of Doing Business’ award for business in Korea. The South Korean government is committed to easing regulations to help attract international business investment. It underwent reforms to improve the business culture and environment and to help international businesses to take root in the country. The government has also established special zones in selected areas to make its environment more attractive to overseas trade and international business investment in a bid to become a Northeast Asian business hub. Seoul in Korea has excelled in becoming a centre for business, as well as for Korean culture.

Business in Korea has never been more accessible or stable for international businesses. With its ever-expanding market, South Korea is an escalating country for businesses looking to develop their market in the Asia Pacific region.
